Walls tell you when they need help.

Most of our calls start with one of these. None of them fix themselves, and a free look from someone who has done this for three generations costs you nothing.

What we do

Two specialties, practiced for over eighty years.

We know every stucco system on the market and we’ve stuccoed tens of thousands of buildings, from family homes to commercial storefronts. Below grade, we rebuild the old stone foundation walls the Delaware Valley is full of.

Exterior

Stucco repair, restoration & re-stucco

  • Stucco repair & patching

Cracks, chips, bulges and damaged sections cut out and patched, matched to your existing color and texture so the repair disappears.

  • Cleaning & painting

Stucco cleaned and repainted to bring back a worn exterior without replacing a thing.

  • Elastomeric restoration

We clean and repair the existing stucco, then seal it with a high-performing elastomeric coating that adds years of life.

  • Complete re-stucco

When stucco is past saving, we strip and re-stucco. We've worked with every stucco system available, on homes and commercial buildings.

Restore or re-stucco? We’ll tell you straight.

A full re-stucco isn’t always the answer. When older stucco is still sound, restoration gives you a fresh exterior and a longer life for a fraction of the disruption.

Get an honest assessment

Restoration

When the stucco underneath is still sound

  • Clean and repair the existing stucco
  • Seal everything with an elastomeric coating
  • Adds beauty and extends the life of older stucco
  • Avoids the cost and disruption of a full re-stucco

Re-stucco

When the stucco has failed or is beyond repair

  • Remove the failing stucco
  • Apply a new stucco system suited to the building
  • Options across every stucco system available
  • A fresh, long-term exterior for home or business

Basement walls

From crumbling stone to a clean, sealed wall in three coats.

This is the work Walls & Ceilings magazine featured us for. On a typical stone foundation, here’s exactly what we do.

  1. Prep

    Strip it back

All loose and damaged cement comes off the stone foundation walls.

  2. Coat 1

    Waterproof foundation coating

One coat of Thoroseal waterproof foundation coating goes on over the stone.

  3. Coat 2

    Scratch coat

A modified Portland cement scratch coat builds the wall back up, solid and even.

  4. Coat 3

    White finish coat

A bonded finish coat of white Portland cement over every foundation wall.

In our customers’ words

Honest, neat, and on schedule.

Letters from homeowners in Haverford, Narberth, Bryn Mawr, Upper Darby and beyond, a few of the many we’ve received.

“We chose you because of all the contractors we felt that you were honest and candid with us in explaining the situation without misrepresenting your services in any way… one of the most honest, conscientious, responsible and ethical contractors we have had the pleasure to do business with.”
Dr. and Mrs. TollHaverford, PABasement walls

Basement walls

“The walls look great, and I no longer have to put up with dirt and clay pouring down on my workbench. Your people showed up on time, did a beautiful job and left the premises sparkling clean.”
Jim Murphy · Upper Darby, PA

Stucco

“Our once beautiful 1926 Tudor home… our lovely wood and stucco designs were recreated. How your sons matched that difficult stucco pattern is beyond me, but it is just perfect.”
Eileen Owen · Pennsylvania

Basement leak

“It has now rained several times, and once in particular it was quite heavy, and there has been no leakage whatsoever. The price was very reasonable considering the hard work done by your team.”
Irene · Merion Station, PA

Stucco & painting

“Issues were explained and discussed every step of the way. The work was impeccable, and we continually get compliments.”
Nancy · Narberth, PA

Stucco

“The patched area of stucco is an excellent match, in both color and texture, to the original material, and the work was done very neatly.”
Robert · Bryn Mawr, PA

Basement walls

“Not only was your staff courteous, but you completed the job exactly on the schedule you had promised. That was impressive.”
Chuck Stone · Pennsylvania

Questions

Good questions before you call.

Do you charge for estimates?

No. Estimates are free. Bob or one of our team will come out, look at the stucco or basement walls, and walk you through your options.

Is your work guaranteed?

Yes. We guarantee all of our work, stucco and basement alike.

Should I restore my stucco or have it re-stuccoed?

If the existing stucco is basically sound, restoration (cleaning, repairs and an elastomeric coating) can add beauty and extend its life without the expense and inconvenience of a full re-stucco. If it has failed, re-stucco is the right call. We'll tell you honestly which one your building needs.

Why does my basement smell musty, and why are the walls crumbling?

Older stone foundation walls lose their cement over the years. It breaks down, sheds sand and clay, and holds moisture that feeds mold and mildew. We strip the loose material and rebuild the walls with a waterproof foundation coating, a Portland cement scratch coat and a white Portland finish coat.

Is there a better time of year to book basement work?

Winter. Cold temperatures stop exterior stucco work, so we offer a discount on basement wall work scheduled during the winter months.

What areas do you serve?

The Delaware Valley of Pennsylvania: Delaware, Montgomery and Chester counties, from Upper Darby and Haverford to Bryn Mawr, Blue Bell and Ambler.
